Psychotherapy is both a relationship and a service. This means that you should have a chance to consider whether the therapy relationship would work for you, and that you should have some confidence in its value before you begin. To find the right fit often requires talking with a number of therapists before deciding on a particular one. Here’s some information you may find useful to know about my treatment philosophy.
My people are adults, kids, & teens who are done pretending that everything’s fine. That includes Black and brown clients healing from racial trauma, LGBTQIA+ folks needing a therapist who gets it, gamers tired of being pathologized, and people wrestling with depression, grief, ADHD, or family chaos. They come when the usual coping isn’t cutting it anymore. With 30+ years of experience, I bring warmth, humor, and zero judgment. All of you belongs here. Welcome.
I practice trauma-informed therapy rooted in psychodynamic depth — connecting past patterns to present struggles, making the unconscious conscious for lasting change. My work is body-aware, culturally grounded, and built on a real therapeutic relationship. I offer online therapy across ten states. I am a gender-affirming care practitioner.
My specialty is the intersection of people, relationships & technology, from video games to social media to AI. Many therapists know little about online games and may dismiss it as unimportant, or assume it is a problem. I am more interested in understanding your game experience and activity than pathologizing it.
Whether you’re navigating a misunderstood inner world, in the midst of identity formation, or carrying the weight of a culture that wasn’t built for you — this work goes beneath the surface. Together we explore unconscious patterns, reclaim what’s been buried, and build a more integrated, authentic sense of self. Change at this depth can often be lasting.
This is not to say that one part of your identity will be fetishized in our work, but rather to say that you are specifically welcome. If you are a BIPOC patient looking for a psychotherapy which includes the possibility of identifying racial enactments & healing from race-based trauma you are welcome here. If you identify as trans or non-binary you are welcome here. If you are moving through the world with physical or invisible disabilities you are welcome here. If you identify as LGBTQIA you are welcome here. If you are seeking to unlearn racism or deepen your understanding of your whiteness as part of your treatment you are welcome here. If I cannot work with you, I will try to refer you to a psychotherapist who has a similar commitment.
